Homestyle like no other! Chicken noodle soup is good for the soul, and your wallet when you start from scratch. Use any noodle you like, but our homemade noodles are the best, I think anyways. During the winter I make a lot of soup but this is always my favorite. I love the smell filling up my kitchen and into the rest of the house. Serve with freshly baked bread and a salad as a meal, or as a starter for any dish. Enjoy!
4-6 C Chicken broth
2 C Noodles
1 C Chicken, cooked and shredded
1 C Carrots, grated or chopped
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1 bay leaf
1 tsp minced onion
½ tsp minced garlic (1 clove crushed)
¼ tsp thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients and simmer until carrots are cooked and noodles are tender.
