A thicker and creamier version of the original, creamy chicken noodle soup is sure to hit the spot when you crave soup! Adding a bit of flour is really the ticket. Modified recipe is below. Enjoy!
4-6 C Chicken broth
2 C Noodles, (see here for recipe for homemade noodles)
1 C Chicken, cooked and shredded
1 C Carrots, grated or chopped
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
2 Tbsp flour
1 bay leaf
1 tsp minced onion
½ tsp minced garlic (1 clove crushed)
¼ tsp thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients except flour and simmer until carrots are cooked and noodles are tender. Whisk in flour and thicken to desired consistency.
