Coffee Cake
Breakfast, dessert, or coffee with friends this old fashioned coffee cake is just the ticket for a sweet treat. Everyone is going to want your recipe for this. Enjoy!
Batter:
1 C Butter
1 C Sugar
2 eggs
1 C Milk
3 C Flour
3 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Filling:
1 ½ C Brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 C Chopped nuts
Frosting:
1 Tbsp butter
½ C powdered sugar
½ tsp cornstarch
A little water
Mix batter in one bowl in ingredient order. Mix filling in a separate bowl. Pour ½ batter into a greased 9×9 pan. Sprinkle filling over batter. Spoon remaining ½ of batter overtop filling. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 25 – 30 minutes. Allow to cool while preparing frosting. Drizzle with frosting and allow to cool completely before cutting and serving. ffffffffffff
