Warm banana bread is the best! Whenever there are a few bananas left that are getting a bit to ripe to pack in a lunch I make banana bread. This is my basic recipe. I have added every type of nut and berry to the recipe and it is always delicious. Blueberry is a favorite though!
I really enjoy a slice of this bread with my morning coffee (or my afternoon coffee lol) it pairs well with milk or tea also. Try drizzling a bit of honey over the buttered slice for a sweet treat.
1 C sugar
½ c butter, softened
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
3 bananas, mashed
2 C Flour
(nuts or fruit or both if desired up to 1 C)
Combine ingredients one by one in list order. Pour into greased and floured baking pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
